- Account information: your name or username and other details you provide when creating an account.
- Phone number: the mobile phone number you enter to verify your account during signup.
- Profile information: details you add to your profile, such as a photo or bio.
- Content and media: events, memories, captures, photos, and videos you create or upload.
- Usage and device data: information about how you interact with the Service and basic device/technical information needed to operate it.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and maintain your account and verify your phone number.
- Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- Send you transactional and security-related messages, such as one-time verification codes.
- Respond to your requests and provide customer support.

4. SMS / Text Messaging
PIRL sends one-time passcode (OTP) SMS messages so you can verify ownership of your mobile phone number when creating an account. You opt in by manually entering your phone number and requesting a verification code directly in the app — we only send an SMS when you initiate this request. These messages are strictly transactional and security-related; they are not marketing or promotional. Message frequency depends on your verification activity, and message and data rates may apply.

We do not sell or share your information — including your mobile opt-in/consent data and phone number — with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in limited circumstances:
- Service providers: vendors who process data on our behalf to operate the Service, such as our SMS provider (Amazon Web Services End User Messaging) used to deliver verification codes. These providers are bound to use the information only to provide services to us.
- Other users: content you choose to share through the Service, consistent with your settings.
- Legal and safety: when required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of PIRL, our users, or others.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and afterward only as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can manage much of your information in the app, and you may contact us to exercise your rights at support@pirl.social.

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
